November Studio Notes

November was busy. It brought a mix of art drop-offs, fresh new pieces of art, and plenty of gratitude stitched into the days.

Middle of Maybe at Lost Pines Art Center, Bastrop, TX

Lost Pines Art
Drop-Off

I made the trip to Bastrop to deliver the pieces for my Featured Artist exhibition at Lost Pines. They’re in place and ready for their December debut at Art After Dark on December 6.  Stop by the Art Center if you’re passing through.

Gino’s Pizza Joint

I also hung new work at Gino’s this month. Bright color meeting comfort food. It’s a fun little slice of community, and I’m glad to have my work there.

Bulletproof at JAG Gallery in Key West, FL

Small Works at
JAG Gallery

Another bright spot this month: my piece opened in the Small Works exhibition at JAG Gallery in Key West. It’s an honor to be part of such a strong show, and I’m grateful my work made its way onto those walls.

Thanksgiving + Gratitude

This year’s Thanksgiving was simple and lovely. I’m deeply grateful for friends, for family, and for the fact that I get to spend my days doing what I love. Bella supervised, of course—quality control is her calling.

Studio Notes

Between all the holiday moments and trips, I painted steadily and happily. I’ve been working on a few new pieces in my Modern Folk Whimsy style—playful shapes, bold color, and that easy, joyful look that feels right at home in this season.

Looking Ahead to December

December will move at a gentler pace. I’m scheduled for surgery mid-month, so the studio will be quieter while I rest and recover. I’m grateful for the chance to take care of my health—and grateful that the art will be waiting for me when I’m back at the easel.

Here’s to closing out the year with color, momentum, and a grateful heart.

Merry Christmas!

Kay 💕
